Laura Toulme is a law clerk at Kaplan Hecker & Fink.
Laura joins the firm after completing a clerkship with the Hon. Alison J. Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit . She also previously clerked for the Hon. J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Laura has prior experience as an assistant paralegal for Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell.
Laura received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she also acted as the Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Law Review. She was awarded the James C. Slaughter Award and the Bracewell Best Oral Argument Award. Laura was a member of the Order of the Coif, a Junior Fellow of the UVA Society of Fellows, a member of the Virginia Sexual Assault Legislative Reform Pro Bono Project and the Co-Chair of the Feminist Legal Forum. Laura received her B.S. from the University of Georgia.
